The World's Smallest Laptop Charger Could Fit in the Palm of Your Hand
Tired of carrying that bulky laptop charger around with you? You might not have to for much longer. A California-based company called FINsix has launched the world's smallest laptop, tiny enough to fit in the palm of your hand.
The charger, known as Dart, is only slightly larger than a standard smartphone charger. It comes in a variety of colors and has connection tips to suit nearly every laptop on the market. Dart is said to be compatible with Acer, ASUS, Dell, Lenovo, Samsung, and Sony laptops, among others. The charger only supplies 65 watts of power, which means it may not be strong enough to support high-end gaming and video editing computers.
Of course, there has to be a catch. In this case, the "catch" is the Dart's $89 price tag. That may seem like a lot to pay for a simple laptop charger, but we expect the price to come down once the units have been out for a while. As it stands, there are plenty of people out there willing to pay big money just to cut down on their laptop accessories. The Dart will likely "dart" its way to success in no time.
In addition to the laptop connection tips, the Dart will come with connectors for major smartphones and tablets on the market today. Simply put, you could use this one device to charge your laptop, your tablet, and your phone throughout the day, and all you'd have to do is charge the tip. This makes the Dart perfect for travelers and commuters who need to significantly reduce their carrying load.
The Dart is available for preorder now, and it is expected to ship out early this summer.
